Q: If I miss a class may I get a makeup?
A: Make up classes are not available. If your child misses class for any reason, it is just a missed class. If, for some reason we need to cancel a class, we will provide a make up for that lesson canceled.
Q: Does my child need to wear a swim cap?
A: Please have your child wear a swim cap during lessons. Long hair is heavy and makes swimming difficult. At the minimum, please braid hair or pull back into a ponytail.
Q: Do I need to buy my child a pair of goggles?
A: Using goggles is up to you and your child. We encourage all swimmers to learn water comfort without goggles first. As your child becomes a more avid swimmer, goggles would be helpful. If you do decide to use goggles, have your child try them on before he/she comes to class. Be sure they fit snugly and comfortably and fit your child’s face.
Q: Can I request a teacher?
A: Yes, you may request a teacher and our staff will do everything in their power to get your request fulfilled, but there is no guarantee you will receive that teacher you requested.
Q: Can my child wear a floatie to swim lessons?
A: Water wings or flotation suits are not recommended since they give your child a false sense of security. At swim lessons we teach your child without these devices.
Q: What should I bring to swim lessons?
A: Each swimmer must have a suit and a towel.
